Hi, I have a med trip but I reckon the Bay of Islands is a bit of a trip for a fitting (scuse the pun). I also have an Airoh TR1 in large which is a slightly looser fit.
I really rate the trip for value, mine was 79 quid ($160). It is a bit noisy like most flip face's & I need a pin lock on the visor, it opens & closes when I put in a life saver, maybe some blu tack would help. The internal sun visor is brilliant, beats dark visors or sunnies by a country mile. The Airoh is very small, light & really noisy, earplugs essential.

Second that comment on the Airoh TR1 being too bloody noisy. Shame, because I like the look and in summer it's doesn't get near as hot inside as others I have owned. Maybe it's cooler being in white but more from the amount of fresh air it lets circulate inside the lid I'd say. Just can't use it much because of the noise!

I'm a big fan of Caberg having had the VR2 for a few years now. Forget about the Trip/Rhino, Go back to webbikeworld and find their latest tests on the Trip's replacements; Konda model (yeah, dumb name) and another called Sintesi (from memory). I might get myself the new Konda at some stage to replace the VR2. Good review and looks the biz.

There is a NZ private seller of Caberg but he doesn't have a website. You have to email- caberg.co.nz. He sometimes advertises Caberg lids on Trademe.

the konda is quite nice indeed, but I can't find one to try so I'm out of luck.

the nz guy for the trip's and vr2's can bee found at http://www.amazinghelmets.co.nz

The trip I maybe be able to go to Auckland and try one on (although the seller is being a little elusive with my questions)

I tried to get a V2R through the NZ guy he didn't have a large in stock and "wasn't sure if he would be getting more" but would get back to me. I have heard nothing so ordered one from the UK and save d $130 including postage!
