    Ebay Question!! Urgent

I am planning on purchasing a Exhaust for my CB400 and I have run in to some problems with shipping. The seller has been quoted $250USD for shipping to New Zealand. I am like What the ****?

Anyway, he asked me for my postcode. My postcode is 1311 which is 4 characters long. Because it isn't 5, which is what is required in the US, the price is $250.00. He even asked FEDEX and it is the same!

Does anybody know a way to get around this problem? I want the pipe, I want it shipped, but I don't want to pay $250USD!!!! I think $40.00USD is more of a realistic figure.

Auction ends soon tomorrow! any help appreciated!!!

Can't you arrange the shipping from here? I had a similar problem once and I told the seller I'd arrange the shipping. Can't compare prices though, as I bought a PCI board for my PC, just a wee bit smaller than an exhaust!

Check UPS. Fed-ex has gotten a bit big for its britches and are rediculasly overpriced.

Unfortunately UPS was the first choice and they too quoted $250USD. Something about my postcode being 4 figures instead of 5. I really want this pipe, my bike should sound cool... TWO BROTHERS! hahaha

UPS are the peeps to use. When doing a postal calculation it doesn't ask for the postcode when the country is entered as New Zealand.

And if the buggers ever in your life ask for a 5 digit zip (but they won't), just add a zero in front of the number. For a 30 pound parcel in 2 - 3 day service is 271USD and for 4 - 6 weeks it 63USD

On several items I have purchased fron the USA when asked for my 5 digit Postal Code, I have added a 0 in front. Had no problems recieving items.

I think I know the company you're ordering this pipe off. They have an online store as well I think, darned cheap stuff. I don't remember who it was, maybe it was R1Aaron that put me onto these guys. I think he ordered a Yoshi from them. Maybe worth a PM to him (KDXAaron or similar I think).

the pipe i was thinking of getting is from a private seller. It has some road rash on it and when I was keen on purchasing it, the bids weren't so high. It has gone up a fair bit. So I am now in two minds about buying it, it closes in like 15 mins!!!

UPS and FED-ex are a rort to NZ. Use the post office, especailly if you are in no great hurry. http://www.usps.com and look up the online calculator.
I have a Corbin seat for the Beemer somewhere on the water, and it was $US52. 4-6 weeks delivery
