    rm250 missing

    Hi guys .

    new in here so go easy, my rm 250 feels like it mises hard out in 1st and 2nd gear, its not till you hit 3rd that it starts running sweet and the powerband feel great. is this normal for a 2stroke or is something wrong.

    Std they are jetting 'safe' Search internet & you will find heaps on jetting 2 stroke MX bikes. Of course in last 7 years the bike could need serious overhaul, leaks etc, but start with new just filter, plug, cap etc so you're not chasing your tail. Look up correct special plug. Again internerd will tell you why they are not normal EGVs (maybe 03s are).

    the guy i brought it from raced it. said it had had been jetted and tuned, has had a full re build 28 hrs ago top and bottom. I will put new filter and plug in and see how it goes.

    Okay then,
    Are you really giving it the berries when it misses? Or, are you only partial throttle?
