    Honda makes 150 millionth motorcycle

Honda has announced the 150 millionth motorcycle rolled off it’s production lines at the end of April.

It took Honda 57 years to build its first 150 million motorcycles, but at the production rate it projects for 2005—a stunning 12.5 million motorcycles per year—the next 150 million would be on the road within 16 years.

Why would they want to count Suzuki's?
Speed limits are just a suggestion, like pants.

Wow, is that really true? That is a lot.

Because Toyota only makes 8 million vehicles a year?

Maybe I have the stat wrong. But gee, that is a lot of bikes!

Remember, this is including anything two wheeled... so all those little scooters etc that are made for sale in Thailand, Indonesia, India and so on? They all count towards the total.

Just found an article in 'Japan Today' newspaper that states Honda makes bikes in 28 locations in 21 countries. So average about 450,000 per location? And there you are.

You're right though - it is a hell of a lot of powered two wheelers...
