I believe it has Pirelli City Demons on the front and Michelin M62's on the rear at the moment. The rear is almost shot, the front is okay but havent exactly heard great things bout the city demons. So since i will be needing to get some tyres soonish i may as well get bt39s.

So what size BT39's will i be looking at?

What size tyres does the fxr have ? You can always get a 110/120 front sports tyre and turn it around for your rear ?

You can get the BT39s in the stock sizes (I think). Have a look on the interweb, if that fails ask me next week and I'll have a look at the ones I have in the shed. If it's for buckets only get the ss version.

    Parts

Any one have a spare LHS footpeg thingy (if someone can give me the correct term that would be great, cant remember it for some reason now - the bit that the gear changer and footpeg attach to?) Had a bit too much fun with it last night,my mate ran out of talent and ended up snapping it. Would prefer to buy it, but if anyone has one i can borrow for next meet that would be fine too.

Hmmm, yea some one forgot to metion that those are the weakest part of the whole bike and if you intend to race you should replace with somthing more solid ASAP.

Personally I would not recomend replacing it with the same thing however I think I have a left one in the shed (I think I broke the right one) I am no wear near the shed at the moment so will let you know sometime later (probally tomorrow arvo)

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

Both my spares are out on Loan. I think Damien has the right one (I think) and you're more than welcome to grab it off him next week. Unfortunately for you my left hand side one is currently in Napier and I won't be getting it bck until Kaitoke which doesn't help you much. Make some up out of 10mm ali plate if you can. You'll end up doingit anyway.

10mm? Really? I was having a look today and was thinking 6mm would be plenty. Or do you really need to have the notches to hold the footpegs straight etc?

I can get stuff laser cut but I'd definitely be interested in something that's already made right the first time, what kinda price tag would be on those rearsets?

I would be interested in hearing about these as well.
    Three questions:
    Price?
Are they crash proof? i.e. They will not snap on impact like the standard FXR ones
Are they a little higher (5-10mm) and a little further back (5-10mm) than the standard FXR ones?

    Cheers.
