    Hi All from tzrbrett

New to this forum so still finding my way around, my garage consists of a Yamaha tzr250 3ma, a rz250rr ypvs a few laverda jotas and an old bmw r75/5. Unfortunately the lavs and beemer belong to my old man, i live in east Auckland, have mad bike disease and a soft spot for yam 2 strokes, although after clocking more time rebuilding and maintaining lately the 4 strokes are looking pretty inviting. Got 5 months left till I can get my full and counting down the minutes, still undecided weather to buy a TRX850 or take my RZ motor, turn it into a 500cc and put it into a RS250 frame… maybe both…

Anyway enough of my ramblings. Good to be here and if you’re taking a blast out east give us a yell

    Cheers

    Rz250rr

Hey Brett - I raced an RZ250 in 86 (a young Aaron Slight passed me more times than I care to remember . . . ) and wouldn't mind finding one now - any ideas on who might have one for sale? Not easy to find in one piece - which is what I want (fussy bast#rd, eh!), Cheers, Dave

    Hi Dave

Got ya work cut out for you there!! I found mine on trademe about 2 years ago for $121.00 I had been sitting in a paddock for years and was pretty much one single lump of rust, since then I have pulled the whole thing apart and rebuilt it, almost finished just got the front brakes to do. I have seen a few come up on the net butt none of them in mint condition as most were either destroyed on the track or neglected and left to rot. Keep an eye out on trademe though; you never know what might come up

    Cheers Brett
