Methven LIONS have called a public meeting to gauge the local comments etc, but it seems that we may have another crack next year. A few things to get right that eluded us this year.
We have already decided that we cant have the downtime that was caused this year by the ridiculous amount of pretty unnecessary time with bikes on the deck in the sighting/practice laps. There will be changes to ensure this, which may be unpopular with many but the safety of the public and the riders, and getting the full program of rounds in , is more important to us than a few bruised competitor egos.....
hey, sounds positive, thanks for keeping us in the loop!

That sounds like good news...............as for the uneccessary riders falling in practice.........I AM A CULPRIT ......i apologise........wont happen again as my boy will be racin next year.....and he knows how to stay upright. But i am keen to help in anyway with prep/on the day stuff........just ask.
Whats being proposed is anyone arseing up in pratice or a warmup lap will be sent home there and then. Im not suer that I agree as there may well be a few inercent riders cought up and sent off, as its not just the dick heads that crash.
Id be more keen on a pace car perhaps, even tho I have not liked them in the past, but that was more about the driver, I can see the merits in it now..

My neighbours diary says I have boundary issues
How about a man who knows how to wave a red (or yellow) flag when called for?? From my view on the sideline there were a few that didnt know how to do that.
All in all its a good event and hope that with some appropriate changes it can become a well worth it event to the Methven community.
Gold Diggers....like hookers just smarter

i'm not sure they can proove its you Merv, kinda hard to see whats going on!
I see dennis had to get in on the action and do a nice headbutt to the bails followed by a nice leg kick, very stylish!!

Ha ha ha not likley, they are great shots of the crash.... shame there were no shots of the dumb bucket fool gettin mixed up with the bails before lunch.
I was definately the culprit i touched the back wheel of Damion 117 and went down........the first shot of me on the deck looks like i may be unconcious. Poor Bryan had nowhere to go (they could have left me there for a jump section or the motards eh!. I think Dennis went for the gap but my bike was still spinning and i think it hit his front wheel.
I can now see why it hurt for a week................... at least i stayed on long enough for a shot ON the bike too.
