“Bikes BBQ & the Blues” – the inaugural Auckland Bikers’ Day Out. - Sunday 28 March, 12pm to 5pm
A fantastic occasion for enthusiasts, collectors, dreamers & admirers to hang out for an afternoon of motorbikes, music and food.
An afternoon for the biker fraternity where bikers and their bikes are the attraction.
We want bikes of all ages from vintage, veteran and classic to modern and specials, from all countries.
Join hundreds of bikers and their bikes all doing what we enjoy, immersion in our passion, at a tremendous venue with food and music to enhance the experience.

We are seeking clubs and collectors who would like to show their treasured bikers in an exhibit. Contact us from the website.

The VENUE - Historic Fort Takapuna and the Officers Mess, adjacent to Narrow Neck Beach in Devonport, Auckland.
Bikes and exhibits will be located over the sealed and grassed areas of the reserve, in and around the fort’s buildings and fortifications. There is plenty of space for a friendly and relaxed event spread out over a beautiful cliff-top location overlooking the Waitemata to Rangitoto.

The ORGANISERS - DEVORC (Devonport Riders Club) in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Devonport that several of us belong to.

ATTRACTIONS -
  • Exhibits by bike importers, retailers, clubs and collections
  • Inside the Officers Mess will be static displays and promotions for biker related enterprises, eg bike tours, bike insurance, track days, bike schools, accessory retailers, lifestyle stuff, etc
  • Spot prize with entry ticket and other prizes for various bike categories
  • “Sales Yard” for sellers to display their bikes
  • Fundraising gourmet BBQs, Mussel Madness (the BEST mussel fritters), Cafe, Espresso Coffee, Pizzas, hot chips
  • The local Flea radio station will be attending and playing (amplified over the reserve) classic blues and rock favourites all afternoon, plus some live musicians


EVENT DEATILS -
  • Entry fee is $10 per bike. Rider and pillion free.
  • The public can attend free. But we are promoting it specifically to bikers and their families.
  • Support vehicles and trailers can be accommodated within the event area which is well away from the road. (Family cars and public parking not provided for.)
  • Bring a picnic or enjoy the catering on offer
  • No retailing is permitted except for the food vendors
