    1984 Honda cb250rs oil filter?

    does anyone know what oil filter to put on a cb250rs? and where the filter is

    of course,the oldest trick question in the book!!

    they dont have one dude,unless you count the centrifugal one behind the clutch which honda recommend cleaning out when you rebuild the engine.

    what about the gauze screen filter in front of the clutch ??

    part #6 on the diagram (screen, oil filter)

    Part number 6 on the diagram below

    when you feel inclined to remove the righthand side engine cover the filter sits midway along the bottom edge of the main engine casing just pull it out with a pair of pliers and rinse it off with some petrol then re fit it

    Just have to watch when fitting the cover back that the cam for the clutch is in the right position otherwise no clutch

    As T.W.R said its a piece of piss too do,And remember to put the engine casing bolts back in the holes they came from,

    I have a manual if you need to look at one(I'll throw it my bag good lite reading),and will be in WGTN this arvo for the next couple of weeks

    That explains why i couldnt see a space for it :P Was just wanting to know whether it needed to be replaced when you do an oil change.

    no need to replace unless the gauze is torn, just rinse in petrol and re fit. they're expensive anyhow (15 british pounds)

    They're just a screen filter for the oil pump
