    Wacky Races Part 17.36(b)

    [sigh...]
    Is there some strange sunspot activity or summat today, or is everyone really tired like me? I've never before witnessed such an unprecedented amount of dumbarsery in my commute: people giving way when they shouldn't, changing lanes without indicating or looking, so may people hell-bent on driving like retards yet remarkably getting away with it. Even the pedestrians and cyclists seemed dumber than usual. Wish I'd stayed in bed...
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    The classics were:

    • The Celica driver in front of me who upset the normal rhythm of the traffic by not looking approaching intersections (or else not being able to see out of his/her fogged up windows) then not going when the way was clear, leading me to nearly crash into the back;
    • Some pedestrian schoolboys full of dumbness and cumness who were displaying their machismo to one another by ambling across the road by Glenfield mall, in the face of oncoming traffic, just daring motorists to run them over. Unfortunately, I was in the car behind the car that had that opportunity, so I just slowed by the traffic island and yelled "Wankers!" at them.
    • The pedestrian in Albany who crossed near the corner where I was turning left in front of them, and who had obviously assumed that because nothing was coming when she started to cross the road, it would be clear for the duration of her trip. Oh how I would have laughed (if I wasn't so tired and ornery) when she did a hasty double-take and nearly jumped out of her skin when she turned her head and saw a car that had mysteriously materialised right in front of her. Well, DUH!!
    • And people who don't indicate lane-changes and whatnot - fuckem, I say!

    Grrr!!! And all that....

    Agree. The Dumbery(tm) has increased.
    There is also a person who has been fucking around with all the traffic light phasings, so has added extra large doses of confusion and chaos into the mix.
