    Another great Kiwi invention

The media (ignoranti) are all-a-flutter today over the great flying hovercraft invented by a Nelson man.

These pictures of existing Wing-in-ground-effect vehicles are all figments of their designers' imaginations:

Well, there's elements of dodgyness about all of those shots to be honest...

Oh dear I'm sorry.Did I doubt that kiwis are the greatest inventors of all time?

If you doubt that WIGs already exist there is a journalism job just waiting for you.

Not at all. Been around somewhat longer than those examples too.

Bestest idea I've seen was a 120kton catamaran, that never reached the real world either.

    Looks pretty good to me.

I'd be a bit worried about the odd stray cross wind.

No licence required and a range of 225 km - as the crow flies.

Got a feeling that this "Heeman " is related to a certain Darren Heeman of Harley Davidson streetracing fame....

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
