How about some real ones, not washed up ex-players who don't have any other skills to earn a living.....
If there wasn't such a big lag with sky I'd have radio sport on and turn the useless cunts off.
Go the black caps![]()

Advance Australia Fair and all that but God bless Smithy.
Ian Smith is a superb commentator. Very few others are capable of accurately calling a ball in realtime. And he is a wry and canny observer of the game.
And, apart from Brian Waddell on Radio Sport, name another commentator who isn't a former player?
"Standing on your mother's corpse you told me that you'd wait forever." [Bryan Adams: Summer of 69]

I would have said advantage NZ currently - how goes Taylor goes the match
I appreciate Smithy the same way I did Richie. Maaaarvelous.
For all you kids watching at home, After decades of Ian Chapple and Tony Grieg I automatically turn the sound down and make my own observations anyway. So for you young fellows take a note of that, and this weeks limited edition special offer memorabilia, click..........
Former cricketers as commentators are not nearly as bad as former All Blacks calling a rugby match. Ian Kirkpatrick former All Black legend....... "Don't you just love it when the big men take it up"
Posted this elsewhere recently:
Rex Mossop is a famous Australian footballer who became the senior broadcaster and game caller for many years.
Retired in the late 80's/90's.
Rex had copped a few above the neck in his day.
But by force of personality he made a fabulous career which included a number of Yogi Berra-like quotables.
Lady Jane beach was a secluded and controversial nude beach in the suburb that the very successful people in Sydney live in.
Rex became the advocate for banning nude bathing on the beach and was interviewed on the steps that lead down to it - live on the National News.
In all innocence he said:
'I will not have other people's Genitalia rammed down my throat!'
So...OK, how did the game turn out today? Is it even finished yet? I don't have any means of watching or listening to it! Cheers, John.
Ahh, just looked up on Stuff, it's anybodies game at the moment, must be good to watch! Sigh, must think about upgrading TV to Sky or something!
need 42 off 31, 6 down
How bad it used to be and how nice and violent it was
