Rockin' and rollin' but no jivin'

Wake up this morning (approx. 14 hours ago) to a *SMASH*, look down and see beach sand on my floor... Realize I'm not actually dreaming (wife had a small glass jar full of beach sand) and the quake was rocking and rolling our 9th floor condo.

Nearly got crushed by one of my book shelves but got up in time and braced it as everything was literally jumping, even our clothes cabinets which are quite heavy.

The epicenter was only a few miles from here so I think that's why it was so 'big' but I didn't see any real damage, and especially compared to the 1999 quake that hit Taiwan this is nothing.

That said it was an interesting thing to wake up to not to mention there were several aftershocks throughout the day.

Makes me wonder if it has anything to do with the quake in Chile, I realize perhaps not the same tectonic plate but it's part of the 'ring of fire' same as Taiwan is....

Oh well, live to fight another day aye?

Aye, have had quite a few aftershocks last night as well. Wouldn't be surprised if there's another quake soon in Japan or down your guys' and gals' way.

Which means that the lava under the ocean floor is boiling through somewhere, melting the ice in antartica, which changes the weather patterns and explains the tornados becoming more prevalent in NZ, too much trapped lava boiling up through known faults causing some of them split, quake, tsunami etc... with extreme weather events across the globe causing La Nina to be out of cycle, which in turn shortens and redirects the rain cycle passing over Africa, leaving it even drier and allowing the deserts to keep advancing, to be pushed further east and add fuel to the monsoons and with Yellowstone park supposedly being 40,000 years late, the lava building beneath the mantle will eventually reach a point of critical mass and the Earth will blow itself to pieces, people on the space station will go "look at t............."
