Saturday:

Well, it looked like a good round today. I'm not a racer, but as a spectator I enjoyed the views of the track from up betwen the hairpin and pit-entry. I hope somebody reads posts 7 & 8 in this thread and ADVERTISES THE BLOODY RACING. I had to trawl though 4 websites and then I found the times in a news article as "races usually start at about 9:30". FFS, I want to come & watch, but somebody makes it bloody difficult...

Good to see manufacturers/dealers there with stands & kit. And it looks like somebody was paying attenion when I said (a year ago?) that I'd buy a T-shirt from any rider with one for sale. I've now got a Stroudy 09/10 season T and 2 posters for my boys. No autograph, but the man was much in demand, and I didn't even get to see him race cos #2 son had had enough by the lunchbreak, and he was asleep in the back by the time I hit the motorway. Bless 4 y-os, eh? If you had Ts for sale and I didn't buy one, then I apologise, but I did do a lap of the pits.

From a spectator's point of view, the circuit is great, and will better when they've finished it and put in the missing seating and ice-cream stalls. The pits gravel and the grid markings on the straight may be a bit iffy, and the cats-eyes on the pit-lane entry more than slightly scary-looking, but they're all very fixable. The carpark looked full when I left, so I think that with a bit of advertising they should be able to make a fair-sized traffic jam next year. Just start the racing a bit earlier, please!
