    FOR SALE: '97 CBR600 F3

There is a Daytona 650 in my immediate future , so my current bike is now up for serious sale.

It's a 1997 CBR600F3 which has just clicked over 82,000kms on the clock. It's a great, solid, reliable bike. It dyno'd at 92hp with no flat spots anywhere in the range last year and has a Micron can on it.

Fork oil, brake fluid, coolant, engine oil & filter were done just 8,000kms ago, and it's about to have another oil & filter change as soon as the filter shows up. The chain was replaced approx 15,000kms ago along with 2 brand new sprockets and has only had one adjustment so far. There's a decent amount of meat left on the tyres too. And there is a Ventura pack rack fitted.

Current WOF & rego to July 2005.

    $7000 ono.

I took the yellow one for a test ride for 3 hours yesterday & the colour is growing on me in a strange sort of way!!! But I'm not allowed to buy a yellow one because Granta says he will get a spray can of red to it if I do!!

Thanks for the comment about the CBR and see you tomorrow.

Well i have had mine for a month and over 2000km later i am still a very very happy man. Great solid engines and even though high km mine has done 73000 odd and shows no signs of age. Power deivery is smooth (and there... it just pulls out of corners) and although not as "sports" orientated as some other 600 bikes believe me when i say it can tootle along fairly well in the twisties

Good buy for whoever gets it
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...

This bike is still for sale, and will be in the Bay Ride shop for "Sale on Behalf" as of tomorrow, hopefully.

That is the exact bike I will be looking for in August - damn licence restrictions all to hell

I was actually. Whoever it was that brought it through Bayride Yamaha just paid the full asking price.

I have already purchased my new digital camera in celebration.
