Awesome fun, and now we have a nice new speedball field open aswell, awesome bush field too.
speedball field wasn't open, but the bush one was ok - I reckon the way we played would've worked better with designated medics rather than just having us buddy up and expend copious amounts of paint

I reckon actions has better fields, better format, is actually within reasonable driving distance, but the rental guns are not near as good.

and you guys should offer belts so we can reload during a match

Couple of things, firstly speedball field is usually only open on sundays atm, as its not busy enough to be worth opening especially with how sparse the games were that weekend. Actions fields are rather gay, all small, you only play on the field for a bit, and they aren't very well set out, while our field has alot more time spent on it.

As for the format, apples and oranges, I find personally that I prefer the play attack/defend in two different directions then usually a center flag or king of the hill.

With medic rule, tends to just work much better than the walk to aid station then to base rule. If there was another group of ~10 people at the same time, it woulda been a different hit rule, but most people find that walking back and forth for most of the game isn't that great.

Actions driving distance is still pretty far, and their goggles are terrible and you have to pay for overalls. And they don't have a speedball field, which will probably be more active in summer.

As for ammo packs, we do have them, but you gotta buy the ammo first before we can give it to you. But primarily it is that when it has been raining, and is likely to be muddy, thus slipping over etc, we don't give out packs, because if you were to fall, and bang up your paint a bit much and split a paintball, then that would mean all your paint gone, a full 450 or more. So we usually only give out the packs on days when its nice and clear. The ammo pack I wore was just one of our rental ones that I ran up and grabbed.

Your entitled to your opinion of course, but actions costs more, definitely has worse gear in terms of guns, goggles and charging for overalls, and the field/format are personal preference

The 'running back and forwards all the time' thing is personal preference, too. Longer time to get back into the game/bigger penalty for getting shot slows the game down a lot and encourages stealth and strategy.

    Sucks if you're unfit, though.
