Work vehicle 1 - Harley riding lane splitter 0

...and this kids, is why following too close to a lane splitting emergency vehicle under lights and sirens is a BAD thing.

Having a patched bike rider hit the rear of my vehicle at ~50km/h on the Southern m'way this arvo, was a great way of:

    1) Scaring the shit out of me, my offsider and a medical team
    2) Delaying the transport of a very ill person
    3) Taking a work vehicle off the road for near on 3 hours to do paperwork and settle nerves.

Said rider picked his bike up and decamped before we could get details or ascertain injury. Thankfully my vehicle was okay, as were all the occupants.

'nuff said - please proceed to bag Harleys/Emergency vehicles/Gerbils - I've said my bit.

    I'd say doing gods work....

i.e one less Harley on the road and one less patched member on the road.

The only downer on the whole event must have been the delay for your patient and the damage to the vehicle!

But seriously, sad to hear of this incident. It's the last thing you'd need in the middle of a job.

Seeing as he had no rego plate when he decamped, I guess the authorities will probably either have recovered a stolen plate, will recover a stolen bike or at least find one sore little boy.

Don't you know most Harley riders OWN the road.

Poor guy now has to rechrome and polish his bike....
