Honda VT/VTR engine swap wiring problems

Ive just put a VTR 250 engine in my VT250 both are the same model engine (MC15E) but the wiring is a little different. I thought it would be easy to swap out but Im just not clued up enough with bike mechanics to do it.
Is there anyone out there who has done this swap over and knows what wires go where or anyone in the bay of plenty who can give me a hand, I could spin a few bucks their way if someone could help or even if someone can suggest a good motorcycle electrician in Mt Maunganui/ Tauranga.
Id really appreciate any help I can get Im scraping along just trying to get some transport together and Im so close to having it going!!

io take it your using the vt250 electrical system?? with 2 spark units rather than the newer vtr system with 1 cdi?
if thats the case, then you have to use the older systems pick ups, it has 2 where the newer system just has 1 pickup coil and the cdi works out when the other cylinder fires,

basically you need the flywheel and pickups from the old engine and stick them in the new engine,
the alternator ect should just plug straight in... well the plugs may be different but its till a 3 phase alternator, so thats no problem

you'll need a M20x1.5 R.H. External Thread flywheel puller (essentally its just a 20mm bolt with a superfine pitch,
i used the oil filter threaded bolt and that worked fine (no responsibility taken if you fuck it up) but thats what i used to remove the flywheel..
you should have the job done tonight if you swap out the flywheels and pick ups

    go to and good luck,,
