STATOR or REGULATOR RECTIFIER help needed ZX10R

    Hi guys,,

My bike's electric charging system is not working..

The guys at Mt Eden Motorcycles reckon its the Stator. Have been trying to find a used one of those with no luck so far.. :-(

Does anyone on here knows any place in Auckland that repairs/rewinds these things reliably? Or any place that has this part for sale?

    many thanks

There are a couple of them. Search the forum.

    Steve
"I am a licenced motorcycle instructor, I agree with dangerousbastard, no point in repeating what he said."
"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

Okay I have taken the stator out to find out that its fried, will be dropping it to get it rewound somewhere, just gotta look into that..

Meanwhile, can anyone suggest if its also the regulator rectifier that will need to be replaced at the same time?? Are they repairable?

    Thanks again....

Here you go (I used Ken Cairns).

    J.Halsey Rewinds, Auckland

My rectifier was fine but they can fail. Cheaper to source from overseas, normally the USA.
