Law jobs?

This is incredibly random I know. But are there any law partners/executives out there in the world of KB.
I am a recent law grad, I also have a science degree. I have almost completed my Professional Legal Studies course and am looking for work.
I am currently living in Christchurch and would love to stay around that area but will happily move to any where in the country for an opportunity.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We work in the legal profession and have been hiring graduates this year (10 so far) - and are always looking for the 'right people' - we arn't a law firm (no lawyers - other than our in house council).

We are in Auckland - but our Grad program is a very good one - plenty have done well and are on iro 100k after say 3 years (your exp may vary - depends on what path you take).

Alot of vacancies are word of mouth, who you know etc, however there is heaps of jobs on those two websites, from labourers to surgeons. A good place to check each day, then go door knocking.
We don't know which process quickrides has taken, if any.
PS on attention to detail, which will be stated in the covering letter, why are you living in Christchurch and wish to remain there, but your KB location is Wellington?

I receive daily emails from SEEK. Unfortunatly there arent any graduate law jobs at the mo.
At the moment it seems to be a matter of who you know, the bigger firms arent hiring so it is a matter of getting someone to notice you and give you a chance.

As for the location thing. I was in Wellington when I set this thing up and just never changed it. I have never even paid attention to the location thing. Didnt think it was of that much importance in cyber space.

You cant be that desperate yet. I emailed you my address as I promised and we have graduate intakes in the legal field. Yet didn't receive anything back from you.

Most employers don't hire anyone smarter than themeslves so you should be in luck.

Hi there. I work with a large public sector Legal division, many grads and the comment I hear alot of is grads tell me that they get much better opportunities and responsibility early on working in the public sector even as a fresh grad and they laugh at how other Law grads they know are still 1-2 years later not even allowed to sign their own names to letters in private practise and that they get stuck doing boring arse low level work for years until they get to do anything interesting or juicy...they also said don't tell anyone this as then they might end up with more competition for all the good publc sector law jobs going SO shhhhhhhh

With your science background you would be quite attractive to a few joints around town....not sure what is available in CHCH though.

Having profs under your belt already makes you quite marketable to public sector land too. Have you thought of checking out the various departmental websites - ost of us run pretty good Graduate programmes. I can tell you too that many of the policy shops will be looking to recruit for their grad programmes in the not too distant future...
