Not only are a large number of Wellingtonians completely unable to take the piss out of themselves (as well as a depressingly significant proportion of the rest of the country it must be said), but the whining and grinding of cultural cringe has probably already drowned out all aircraft noise from the airport as well

Irrespective of whether the sign goes up or not now, Wellywood has securely cemented itself as the precious capital of the planet - onya.

Well actually it is possible that a lot of people dont genuinely like the bloody silly thing isnt it? Its not about being precious... In fact the airport bosses 'fuck you I know best attitude' is the really precious bit.
