WT beat me to it... i'll ride along behind him wif a longer stick... you better be able to run at at least 120 tho... anything under is a tad boring after a while...

Stoney. I admire your dedication and commitment. If you need assistance I'm more than prepared to be waiting at the finish line, large Pimms in hand...

    Cool

Good luck in your aim to run the full Marathon.

If you end up doing it by yourself, have you got a discman, that you can listen to music, to keep you going. Carry energy food and drinks.

You have the shoes, so start out slow and run the 10km, then work up to the 1/2 marathon, until you finally do the full marathon.

Wear a reflection belt so that car drivers will see you running.
    Dont wear dark coloured clothes.

Work out a running routine and gym work for the week, as to what you will do each day, and stick to it. That will help you in the long run.

Think about what Arthur Lydiard did for his runners. He made them run the Scenic Road every day.... to build up the stamina.

    All the very best.

    :)

Aww, thanks guys, I appreciate the support. I must admit, the hardest part is going to be keeping myself motivated (one main reason I wanted a training partner). Might try the discman, but I find that I drift off into my own world as I run, especially on the longer runs, to the point where music may even distract me.

Hitcher, I'll take you up on your PIMMS offer (after a water or two that is)...

Here's hoping this all actually comes to life. A full marathon is ALOT different to a half marathon
