The MOAB's we buy/make after the rapid industrialisation that Tank's reigeme will bring in. All the convicts and folks on the doll will be working for something like 15c. an hour on the factories, runways and various military complex's.

Sure, if you have a really big cheque book. Takes serious money to win elections, and not much else.

First and foremost it would take a major policy that both the Nats and Labour are in agreement with and the electorate is not. This is probably more important than a big name but a well known and a respected figure would be helpful. It would need to be of such importance that a large number of voters would see this as a single issue vote and vote accordingly. Again unlikely given that we are not known for single issue votes although there has been in my opinion an upward swing in this area from the far right.

I can not think of any policy that would bring this about other than the ACC issue where all New Zealanders are affected but Labour is in opposition with the Nats on this so the ACC does not count. The Foreshore and Seabed thing is another possibility but on this the Nats have done little so this too is a no brainer.

Bob Jones and the New Zealand Party were never in contention of ever forming a Government but this was under FPP……………….what would happen if he or someone similar tried again is anyone’s guess. Different times, different attitudes……………..I suppose given the right person, a large enough budget and policy that the majority could go with…………….who knows…………….in politics all things are possible…………………but only at the right time……………I just don’t think this election is the right time.

Party's policy would be simple, get the politicians out. For every empty seat - all funds made available would be sent back to the tax payer as a tax rebate.
MMP Overhang / underhang - it wont work. See bill and ben party in wikipedia to see what would have happened if they got voted in (apart from little girls for everyone)

How's about a, "hi we're the X party and we're made up of people (of all backgrounds, finance, transport, health, teaching), lots and lots of us and we're going to try to make things better. We're not all stupid, some of us might actually learn to value decisions on their merit, rather than their financial value. This is not us saying that we're going to spend it up like the rest of them, moreover, we are going to have a look at the books, find out where the money's really going and then try to channel that into the fundamental services that make up a society (sound familiar)... Health and Education, Policing, Facilities, Housing and then we'll move on to things like, WELLYWOOD. In fact, we're not just going to look at it. We're going to rip it apart, piece by piece and see what logical, not financial, cuts can be made and then weigh it against the cost it means to the community. Then i'm going to get on my rainbow pony and visit The United State of America to jam with Oby..."

I reckon that could get a couple of votes (especially the pony bit).

    5 percent threshold.....
5 percent of the voting population is 5 percent of say 3 million people=150000 votes.150000 party votes and we are in,with six list members,of course not everyone votes....5 percent of all votes cast is likely to be a lot less than 150000

Off topic, but... What's MPJ? I was just thinking of that little "we'll send spies to carry out terrorism in your country and then deny it to your face" deal. Maybe we should ad a little love to Mossad as well?

If you stand for everything thats right and just, and aim to please the majority of voters, you could easily win.
However the only people stopping you are the current polititians. YOU AINT TAKING THEIR SPOT.
Its the same with starting a business, you must start small and under cut the bigger players slowly over a long period. If you try to start as a big fish immediately, the current players will take turns to rip you to bits.
I should know, in 1995 I attempted to start a forestry company with a projected profit of 400M $ after 25 years, I had to go around telling everyone my idea, got shot down and put in my place (being 18yo), and whatdoyano? Within a year ads all over TV asking for people to invest in forestry......then there was my internet casino website. You know its illegal for anyone to do it except for the TAB and lotto....hmmm. I projected profits of 100M $ first year and 4-500 a year after 5 years. Govt steamrolled me, then I saw a doco on a website called Lassiters in AUssie, run by Alan Bond or some Aussie BILLIONAIRE, they made 400M$ in the FIRST YEAR.

Its very crowded up top, and fuck off if you think there is any room for you, BOY.

It'd have to based on moral & ethical grounds....bit of a change from the norm.
Its hard to argue against something based on moral rights & ethics ,but using those parameters, well you should be still be able to take the scum out the back & shoot 'em.....
United we stand, divided we're nothing..... a moral mandate always holds the moral high ground ,& often enough is acceptable to the masses.
There are a lot of issues that cut across party politics which are for the common good, but theyre usually the tough ones & so consequently are never dealt with.

I think it would be a very interesting experiment to launch a "Real Green Party" on the platform of "none of that communist bollocks, will work with either of the big two parties to keep them honest on environmental issues"...might not get into Parliament, but could probably be the end of the Watermelons.

and if the masses don't care about them either, then there's no votes to win... no need to address the issue.

I think that if the Greens are to grow as a party then its a path that they need to take. But like all parties there seems to be baggage thats stopping people from allowing themselves to agree on some of thier ideas.
Just like myself, who has a deep mistrust of this bullshit 2 ring circus side show
Meanwhile, you & I still wait.....
A new Party......? Wheres the manifesto!!
