Talking Hysoung GT250 owners in Wellys or Palmy

Hey people, if you have been thinking about modifying your bike as described in previous threads here, then I have brand new Main Jets (ordered twice) if you need them,
    I have 97.5 and 100.
I will help you if you want to fit them as well depending on location etc.
I work in Palmy weekdays and am in Upper Hutt weekends (have garage)

PM me or reply to this thread if you want to know more

    Jas

Google and KB forums are your best source of information... also ask the bike shops although I found that when I told them I was doing thw work on the bike myself I found they were reluctent to give me any information... money talks huh.

    Good luck with your bike

Hey Sapper, got any info on removing the retard CDI plug? Every link I have tried is not working.

I hear this is something that helps with the flat spot in the revs.

Any info would be great. Good luck on selling/of loadin the jets

That mod doesn't do piss all. I've done three of them, and seriously there piss all in it, if anything.

If you really want to fiddle with them, I'd up the compression ratio a wee bit and run on 96+ fuel only, and fiddle with advancing the ignition timing a tad, fit noisy exhaust, and then get it rejetted properly on the dyno. Make sure the operator rejets all of the carb properly, and not just the mains. Also have him set up the enrichment properly, or else its a real bitch to start and idle when cold.

As above, and if you read the thread by Filter_nz, there are provided jet sizes he got with his "jet kit" eg; mains, pilot etc.
I have looked into Dyno tuning but cant justify the cost vs performance gains at this stage... I would like to have it done in the future to have full confidance in the tune, but after the exhaust and air filter mod I upped the mains as a precaution against running too lean. As for the CDI mod, I can post a photo of mine if you want too?

Rejetting richer is a good safety measure if you add an extreme exhaust system, but without it being checked on the dyno you have no idea whether you added power or not.

Same goes for the CDI mod. Did it do anything?

Same goes for the airbox mod.

Same goes for any mod, if you see what I mean.

Yes, do share your CDI mod. I have done it on three different bikes, but others will benefit.

See the Green with Blue stripe wire? Remove this from the plug... not the whole plug from CDI.
Make sure to insulate the end of this wire with tape etc...
Let us know if you notice any improvement as mine was done before I got this bike.
