As to the "why no jail", I'm guessing that it's probably because the "assaults" were of the statutory variety rather than being against the victims' will? I mean the first girl was "assaulted" then went off in his car the next day and had sex...

It Is fkn disgusting! Couldn't believe that he got away so lightly with sentencing! If that was my daughter I would be jumping up and down (swearing a lot) about that sort of pathectic slap on the hand. Castration would be a good way to deal with a person like that.....

Yeah but I'd hope that when my daughter is 14 that she'd not meet like that in the first place and if he turned out to be 23 she'd bail out pronto.

I don't care. It's against the law! the fact that he did it to a second CHILD means nothing then... whether they're up for it or not, 15 still gets you 20... or used to... Sexual predators, make no mistake that's what these people are, are only out to fulfil their own wants, needs and desires and do so using alcohol, drugs etc... I don't care if consent was given, the law was still broken... after all euthanasia is still illegal right? and that's giving someone the consent to kill you for fucks sake. The fact that there's now a child self-harming because of this mans actions speaks volumes... the mitigating circumstances would have to be pretty outrageous to have left this person to roam free within the community (yeah, his folks are gonna watch him 24/7... they've done such a great job already)...
