    Re/Registering Bike

Is there anyone in the Tawa area who could do a check on my bike before I take it in to be re registered. I know it needs tyres but not sure what else.
At $500 for the inspection then gives you 20 days to fix up what they say needs done will be hard on the budget.
So just trying to get advanced warning to fix up before I take in.
lol still saving up for the tyres
If you are behind meDont ask as I am lost too.

I was told they check the bike any faults you have 20 days to get them fixed, after that you have to reapply. another $500
Was told only 2 places I can take it too, 1 in Lowerhutt and the other in Thorndon.

That sucks arse, mate, and not the good sort either. If there is anything major to be fixed, or parts to be got from overseas, I can't see how the hell you supposed to pull a stunt like that off in just 20 days.

There's a bloke up this way who does it, so I'll ask him next time I see him.

its not 500, the cost of a re-vin inspection is $120, i had 28 days, to fix any problems,
500 is the total cost of the re-vin, new plates, and rego costs, im assuming its 12 months rego as i paid 420 all up for 6 months

Where did you take yours to?
Also which bike shop would be the best bet not to over charge.
Looking at wednesday or Thursday to take it in.

i ve done 1 in taupo (so no help) but 2 times in new town,
they are pretty good, except for the south african woman at the desk,
who has the worst attitude ive ever come across in my whole life, every time i see her now i just want to put her out of her (ands every one elses ) misery

other that her the newtown vtnz is great, vtnz on thorndon quay is also good, and it always seems alot quieter than newtown.
i can come over and check your bike if you want, a bike shop isnt going to tell you anything more, and i don't cost anything
