Anyone watch Highway Patrol on TV2?

    Aussie version of Motorway patrol.

Some bint got DICd with a reading of 0.249 (Aussie limit is 0.05) - got FOUR YEARS disqualified and a suspended jaiil sentence.

    Unregistered truck trailer - $1000 a throw.

Couple of weeks ago, someone was refusing to give a breath sample. Bloke narrating said that failure to give a sample was a mandatory two year disqualification.

I'd love to hear that! I think NZ needs a bloody good shake up.

Then perhaps you should tell some of the people on this thread who don't like their rights being breached!

I didn't hear anyone on the TV program screaming that their rights had been breached.
Perhaps if kiwi cops didn't breach rights so often then their MO wouldn't be brought into question so often.

We saw that and thought "so what?"
Four years is a bit of a deterrant, eh? Not like the six months you get here.
Perhaps if DIC was upgraded to such a penalty then kiwi drivers wouldn't get behind the wheel when drunk as much as they do.

You're not wrong; we need some more upstanding Community Constables in the world instead of lying city-bound fucktards in blue.

One southern police officer has been suspended and another stood down, both on full pay.
A Gore-based police officer has been suspended from duty pending the outcome of court proceedings on fraud charges and, in a separate case, a Central Otago police officer is the subject of a police investigation and has been stood down, southern district operations manager Inspector Lane Todd said yesterday.
Mr Todd said the Gore officer was stood down in late October and suspended on full pay in November.
The matter was before the Dunedin District Court so he was unable to comment further at this stage, he said.
The Independent Police Conduct Authority was also aware of the case.
It is understood another person, not a police officer, faces a similar allegation in relation to the same matters.
Mr Todd said the Central Otago officer was stood down two weeks ago.
He expected the now three-month-long investigation would be completed within a fortnight.
He declined to give any details about where the officer was based or their gender and said it was "not prudent" to talk about details while the investigation was still under way.

Yeah right. This fantasy that the police are some how better than the general public has got to end.

its not fantasy when it comes to sentencing, and thats only if they're not discharged without conviction.

read the police drink/drive conviction stats

Have to agree. The first thing I did when I got my restricted was to pull the 'L' plate off my big block.

I guess you chosen career is laced with paragons of virtue, truth and honesty.

Or if not then their behaviour is ignored (accepted?) or not subject to scrutiny or they've learn how to hide it better than Police.

    My logical deduction
