    Harley share prices leap as takeover rumours abound

    Harley-Davidson shares rose by more than 5% to USD 27.91, as rumours of a takeover circulated on the New York Stock Exchange.

    Harley shares were one of the highest climbers on the Exchange. Harley have not commented on the rumours.

    Well at one stage, I recall finding a report that Volkswagon had an interest in expanding to bikes and that Harley was a potential target. No idea if they're really in the frame though.

    Volkswagon has recently bought a share of Suzuki too.
