Sunday was supposed to be a practice/warm up for the NZTT next weekend.
At the start of the fourth PRACTICE session, on the first green flag lap, I was coming over the brow of the hill into the dipper, well into braking when something confusing happened.

Some goat came on the outside of me well after the 100m board, hit my right arm/shoulder, then turned in, cutting my front wheel out, dropping me and the bike onto the ground. I expected another bike to be on the ground when i got up-that's how hard he hit me.
I was still around a few bikes-so pace wasn't an issue, neither was there any early braking or the like.
This caused over a grands worth of damage-plus time, also alot of bruising and frustration-
Not to mention throwing doubt into being able to attend the NZTT.

    The best bit?
This goat, didn't even have the balls to come and apologise.
The marshels and race controll both saw the accident though didn't manage to take note of who hit me-i didn't see because i was busy tumbling, hurting and smashing a helmet.
Through lap timing and who was in front of me at the time, and speaking/ruling out other riders, it's been narrowed down to 2 possibilities...
Suzuki SV650 Number 12- Geoffrey Booth, or
Suzuki SV650 Number 137- Stephen Bassett.

Whoever it wasn't I'm extremely sorry for dragging your name into it-it's just that goats like this surely need to be stopped from doing this kind of thing on a PRACTICE day, let alone in a race.
IF I'm completely wrong but someone knows/saw who did do it, I will be extremely sorry for unfounded accusations-but someone must be found for doing this.

Surely this lemon needs to pull his head in and put his hand up, obviously he's feeling rather sheepish and trying to hide away.

Any help finding this animal and letting everyone know who to keep away from would be much appreciated.

    Thankyou.

To the cougar O, Why did you suddenly sit up/change direction in the left hand hair pin causing your self to crash into the side of Geoffery Booth? As per the video of the events clearly clearly shows????

The lap before the incident, you were doing a 1-38 and geoffery was doing a 1-16, he is not going to put his championship at risk on purpose to do what you have suggested he did on here, he has been at it a long time, and is NOT a dangerous rude rider!

Any one wanting to see this video, just come see me at Hampton to take a look

I hate the way the internet is used as such an attacking tool

Yip,I have been aware of this for a few days now and have been following this thread,Waiting for the truth to be known. Its been as funny as fuck reading some of the posts from the experts that are KBers.

Since when is it not OK too ride at 100% during a practice session ???Somebody needs too inform all the World championship riders of this new development so they can slow down and avoid the risks involved with high speed riding and since when is it not OK too pass somebody up the inside ??? FFS little wonder this country is NOT producing world class riders anymore.

Geoff Booth would be one of,If not the cleanest riders in the country and a true sportsman who simply would NOT put another rider at risk.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with riding 100% in a practice session. Who said there wasn't? I do everytime I go out in them.
But the thing to remember, you may just be sharing the track with total newbies. These guys have no clues as to what to do in any situation. They may stand the bike up (as you have since eluded to), or crash when someone goes around them and takes their line.
That is why you still have to be on your game even in practice sessions. Newbies don't even have to wear learner jackets or anything - do they?
I steer clear of anyone else whilst out in practice - as you just don't know when they may change their line into yours!
Wanganui practice 2 years ago - nearly taken out by 2 experienced competitors that should have known better.

At the end of the day, you'd look like a dick trying to break the lap record in practice if you get taken out by a backmarker.........
A time and a place for everything.

p.s. (That wasn't aimed at Geoff either). Also, how many racers went down in practice at Paeroa? I think some people need to slow down abit and build up experience before going 'dog'. So practice is for going 100% - but safely.
Is it still beastiality if ya fuck a frozen chicken??

Well if the proof is out there, then obviously I'm wrong.
The lap timing display printout i have says he did a 3minute first lap.
As it was my first day at the track, the observations of my own speed are obviously completely different to the other riders.
There were alot of bikes weaving/warming up their tyres through the first lap, but I didn't try hit every apex as fast and hard as possible when other bikes were around.
I did a 1.19 the previous session so maybe it's my own fault for not being up to 125gp lap record speed on the first green flag lap?
Surely being at such fault, mr booth could've come explain that i was riding to slow in the first green lap of the practice session, on a practice day and need to stick to ride days?

So I assume you will delete the names you named on here as the cause of your mistake?

I think it's fair to put it on youtube and show others it was my mistake.
I'm sorry for dragging Mr Booth into this situation and shouldn't have pointed the finger when it was my fault.
I shall request my entry to Hampton Downs next week is withdrawn, as I'm not into the 1 min 12s on my first lap, and will just stick to buckets-on the grass out of the leaders way, untill I can keep the correct pace.

Have withdrawn names on original post as requirested.
    Sorry. Will not happen again.

Good on ya for name removal mate. Trust me if you will? Race at Hampton mate, you will learn so much in a very short time frame.

I have some history with motor bikes, so are willing to offer any advice that I could to help you, and are 100% certain the Geoffery would also offer free advice mate, and I TRULY mean that.

The internet is a wonderfull tool, but some times it usage leaves a little doubt, let this go man, and turn up at Hampton and come say hi, I am the short ugly red head one

trust Shaun my first ever time I asked him for some advice I gained 8 seconds just by some very simple things he noticed in my riding and dont withdraw as you will learn nothing,
at Nationals you will be in your own class with 125's not other bikes you will learn alot of the 125 riders and you will find there will be people around your pace riding to and you can hang onto I did puke on my 125 and was dead last but I loved it improved each time just from getting to be out there with the guys
