    Just got breathalysed

Just got breathalysed at about 2pm on a wednesday afternoon. Why is it they breathalyse people at these odd times and days of the week. I can't ever remember being tested on say a friday or saturday night but I have been tested countless times driving round on a work day during work hours. Do more people drink drive at these times or something??

I guess people tend to not drive on friday sat nights where they would othertimes at the same level of intoxication.

Those new electronic blow testers (the second device you use if a positive result is obtained) are quite easy to fool. I have walked past a checkpoint and asked to be tested, passed in a state I would not consider driving/riding.

Anywhere, anytime, any place. I once caught a chap at 9am after he had been sleeping all night.... still pissed when driving to work the next day.

I then caught him AGAIN later the same day STILL pissed. Toast.

At these checkpoints the cops often check WOF and the vehicle licence at the same time. They are often setup in residential areas during weekday afternoons, and they're always setup in the same places, at least in Christchurch anyway.
