Hampton Downs streetstock, anyone on a FXR150 interested?

The hampton downs nationals are now letting streetstock race for the weekend as a support class, They wont allow buckets, but fxr's are eligable, So is anyone keen?, its $180 {$90 a day} which is dirt cheap to get a race weekend on this new international circuit.

Just going off the top of my head, fxr's can run in sreetstock with slicks, new exhaust and a new carb, so there alot of bikes out there eligable for this meeting.

Are you taking the fucken piss. They must be really struggling for entries. If I had more notice I would have done it. This all sounds like something pulled out of your ass. What are you meaning with the exhaust carb comment? Are they suggested mods or the eligibility rules. Where is the official invitation for FXRs?

Streetstock Rules can be found here in Chapter 22 of the MNZ rules.

The rules state you can fit a carb kit to a 4 stroke 150, meaning to me you woulld have to run the standard Carb, jetting is open, you can change the pipe, christ you can even grind the standard cam. The wheel and tyre rules seem a bit confusing to me (or maybe it is just late) so I wont comment. However if anyone has modified there rear subframe or fitted and aftermarket tail piece that does not replicate the factory piece that would be against the rules.

So yes there may be a few FXR's out there but strictly speaking I doubt there is all that many that fit in the rules

Pretty sure my FXR bucket has no hope of meeting the eligibility rules for streetstock. Aren't slicks a no no as a starter?
Also curious to see a reliable source for the streetstock / bucket entries OK information somewhere.

EDIT looks like the slicks are ok but my angle grinder mods to the frame and GXR wheels mst certainly aren't.

i also believe that stuff all FXRs would be eligable to race in s/stock due to being modified & i thought slicks were not allowed in s/stock. They may not get enough entries for this class with such a short time,

I thought they were out as well. Mainly as nobody seems to be running them. The rules say you can have them but list allowable tyre sizes, which the standard 2nd hand 125 gp rear doesn't seem to feature in. Of course I may be mis reading things.

Gavin Veltmeyer used to race an FXR in a few of the S/S races in the wonter series last year maybe year before. Though it was 'hotted up' it was legal. He rode it well and usually finished mid to front pack on it. It's not really about what you ride anyway, it's about how you ride it....
