AMCC ART Day 18 April - Possibly last before winter.

March 6th was another successful day, even with an hours delay in start waiting for the pony's to clear the track we still got 5 session in and there were plenty of smiles all round.

As usual the next event will be filling up fast, so if you want to get back onto the track with us or find out why there is so much positive blurb on here check out the link below for more info and the entry form.

    AMCC ART Days Entry Form

We again plan on having a guest (star) instructor available, suspension and machine set up experts,, video tracking and bike to bike coms as well as a large group of instructors available for all groups.

Any questions; myself, KiwiGraham or CThompson@paraserv.co.nz will be happy to answer or find the answer for you.

See you all there gaining skills and smile.

For those leaving from the North Shore, I suggest we delay meeting till 6:30am this time. I'd prefer the extra sleep.

I am keen. Is the best thing to start in group 1, and then work your way through to the next group each ART day? Or can you chnage groups midway?

PS wont be able to make NASS this week- I have not seen my family at all this week with work commitments (and again tonight) and my kids are starting to back away from me because they think I am a stranger...

I saw on the other AMC day posts that there are cc restrictions on groups? Is this right? Then what group would I be in with the VTR (besides the "cool" group)?

    All the groups are cool

It is possible to move between groups during the day (up or down).
Seeing as your bike is in the 1000cc + category group 2 would be your best choice and any need to move from their will be assessed with you on the day.

I thought about this a little- what is 'fast' ? I ask this because I think my bike is limited to 180km/hr (ex Jappa), and I know that 240 is reasonable down the back straight of Puke in a race. Not that I have tested it or anything...

Fast is more to do with your skill, not so much your bike. You have a 1000cc bike, so I would suggest starting in Novice Fast, and you can get the instructors to move you if you don't think it is suitable.

DON'T even think about that crap. its a head fuck you simply don't need.
Provided your suspension is set up propperly the ONLY place your bike is going to be a"hinderance" is the last third of the back straight BEFORE hitting the braking zone for the hairpin. But because you are going slower you can brake later and have more time to think about that all important drive out of the hairpin.
You will have drive for africa everywhere else.
In other words dude--dont sweat it
-Not that I know what I'm talking about of course
