    Legends on 2 Wheels.

I have just purchased myself a copy of the book by Rhys Jones called Legends on 2 Wheels and I must say it is 1 Awesome Book for all Motorcycle Enthuists to own. Andrew Stroud is on the front cover.
The contents of this book not only covers Great Riders such as Charles Goldberg, Kim Newcombe, Mike Hailwood, Rodger Freeth, Ginger Molloy, Burt Munroe & Robert Holden but it also has info about the Race Tracks in NZ, Programms of Street Racing as well as Track Racing as far back as Cust 1957.
A sure read for those of you who are interested in NZ Motorcyle Racing History.

Yeah I've seen that in the shops, looks awesome!! I'm too skint to buy it though so if you can bring your copy to the race track to share, Skip, that'd be great

You may have to stand in line, or a bottle of Bourbon may do it Phil.

The Cust circuit wasn't a track circuit

It was shingle road circuit on public roads, just the same as the Halswell 100......that's why Mike Hailwood refused to ride there when he was asked back in the day, he actually thought that the kiwis were nuts for racing there

You can actually still travel around the old circuit these days.

YES !! - The lovely Katie O'Donnell bought me one for Xmas - I have autographs already from Shaun Harris, Aarron Slight and Andrew Stroud, I will have to try and remember to take it to all the race meetings I go to to get some more, Ginger Molloy and Hugh Anderson are a couple I'd like (being a Huntly boy myself )

The Esteemed Mr Jones contributes an interesting classic motorcycle yarn to Kiwi Rider Mag every month too.
