Nonsense, all sorts of things happen in that town..if it's the one I think it is. I grew up there, trust me on this one!

cc, you got 'em running scared! Hi5 to you Kitten!

It'll be colder than you think. I wouldnt worry too much about bringing stacks of clothes with you, you can always pick up an extra jersey from the opshops if you get cold. There's a good one in UpperHUtt and its cheap as.

So I gather swimming season will be over? haha
I may bring my thermal socks though. You know the best pair of ugg boots I've ever had, I got for my 15th b'day when in ChCh. Which did look a tad "out-dere", since I grew up in Queensland. I is going to get me another pr. Who makes goOd ones?

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Are there any bike events coming up? Races, exhibitions, rallies etc? I'd like to try line up a few while travelling about. Will be a good way to hitch lifts I reckon.

ps Wet season was reference to mud consistancy... but we can look into that later... hahahaha

Cold Duck Rally in Hawkes Bay in early May. Vic Club runs a winter race series at Manfield.
