Lesson here is to have them lodge their claim with insurance while at the roadside & then you call your ins company & give them the claim number right then & there & hey presto he can't back out of it!

Why is the dickhead dealing with your insurance company for?
The insurance co settles your claim and tries to recover from the other party, if they cannot recover any funds from the other party you will have to foot the excess.

Come home, phone the insurance, all sweet, no problems!!!

6 days later I have not heard from my insurance company about getting my car fixed so I phone them. They lie, someone rang my cell phone yesterday, ahh no they didn't, still I check call history and no, no calls. Oh he says. I don't care, just what's the story, can I take my car in to get fixed. NO, hello, why not?

Well, it seems lovely handsome man with nice smile is being rude and obnoxious to my insurance people and now is not answering his phone at all. ....
This is surprisingly common. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS request police attendance for a crash. No matter how "nice" the at fault party is. They may simply be this way to avoid the cops turning up and locking them up for warrants etc.

This helps with the process no end with an independent report that insurance companies can later pay for and source from the infringement bureau and can use to assist the victims of bottom feeding diddle-smokers like this.

If you can, take a photo or two of the cars, regos and damage and even a quick one of the driver. Many give false details.

There are drug runners out there dressing well and using luxury cars just to avoid the police. Appearances can be deceptive and sometimes deliberately so.

Just shows us how low some scum will go to benefit themselves. Shame it wasn't witnessed or recorded!

they contacted him in the first instance and are now dealing with his insurance but he has not lodged a claim for damage as yet, hmmmm, i so dont' need the freaking hassle, i like a simple life, playing with my children, gardening, riding my bike, not dealing with tosspots like this guy. I may just go visit him and smash his kneecaps.

So is your insurance company accepting your claim and repairing the car anyway, or not. His insurance has nothing to do with your insurance in the first instance.

they acept my claim but in order to have the excess waived he needs to accept liability, which he is now being an ass about. Like why did the wanky fucker wait around to apoligise and give me details when he could have just driven off. Oh well, such is life....now where's my baseball bat?

It was. The threat was made by text because the piece of shit lacked the guts to say it to my face. Thats why the CIB got involved.
Blaming men for the insurance debacle is barking up the wrong tree here. My guess is that poster number one is merely out of sorts with "Men" right now & it feels good to blame them, while i feel better if i blame brown.

That's normal, you would probably have to pay the excess to the panel beater to uplift your car anyway, then get reimbursed when the insurance company retrieves your excess from the other person, can take awhile.

I dont' think the insurance company is at fault (bar them not ringing me as they said they would, and then lying and saying they did) it's the lying scumbag male who is annoying me! Not all men are bastards and not all women are bitches (I am though)
