managed to pick up a nice yz250 so i could get my self out to ardmore mx track a bit . thing is i bought the bike and they guy told me it was a 2000 cept i know by reading that the 00's had the keihin PWK TPS carb . this one upon inspection has a PWM

i rang red baron and they didnt want the frame number up by the handle bars but said to removed the side covers and a number should be there

ive looked and cant find anything , jut wondering if theres anywhere i can check this other number i have or where exactly this number red baron are talking about is.

try a search I found a site called Ronnies or something sorry I tried to sort the link but it stuffed up but do a search yz250 carb and see what you get?
I Have discovered that import Jap bikes are way out of kilter with the nz bikes in terms of spec thats why Red Baron want the engine No to cross reference. why not ride it in?
but beware they charge like a wounded bull for repairs.
