Just come along and see if you like it.
I do the speed limit, which isn't as fast as other bikers I know.

I am very tempted to offer you a ride on my bike to try her out, maybe in a quiet carpark or street, but wouldnt mind meeting you first. I have just got back to riding after many years and have a very patient friend who rides with me. I go for short rides often and am just starting to venture further so know how you are feeling. The Wed Kiwibikers that meet at the Shell Westgate and then ride over to Albany would be very helpful also. The guys there have been so supportive and respectful encouraging me. But I dont think I will ride much at night with them as I can ride during the day and I really just need the milage.
Hi! It would be cool if you wanted to go for a ride, and if you maybe one day would let me have a go on your bike, that would be awesome! I do have a full license if you were wondering.
Even just to sit on it and feel the weight would be really helpful, give me an idea of how heavy your bike is. To be honest I would probably be nervous as hell riding your beautiful bike!!
I am happy to go out west to meet you, it is a ride I do quite a lot.
I did think about doing the Wednesday night ride, but I have a stressfull job and am too tired to do it, I would not have enough concentration to ride safely.
If you want to go for a ride just let me know - I work all week but am free on the weekends

As BorisTheBitter says, I'm frequently at the back. I've recently come to realise the I have a large error in my speedo, and while I think I've been doing the limit, I'm actually going about 6km/h slower.

That's fine. i have to stay to the speed limit (too many points) but it is very hard to do.

as for the weight of a bike the rule of thumb is the weight of the bike should be no more than 3 times your body weight.

Hi hellokitty, that would be great. I will be free on Sunday at around midday and the weather is fine. Would that time suit you and just trying to think of somewhere to meet? I also dont mind coming over the shore. Have you done the run up to Helensville? Thats one I do thats really mint. We could meet up at the Shell at Westgate?

Cool! Lets meet at Shell Westgate at midday? I will be the one in the pink jacket on a silver Suzuki Intruder. I have done the Helensville ride, I do prefer open road to motorway for sure.
I will give you my cell phone number in a message

My husband had a good idea - he said that I should hire a HD sportster one day (and not try to ride yours) so that if anything happened I wouldn't be damaging someones pride and joy, I would just be damaging a bike shops rental and insurance would cover it.

But I would like to sit on your bike to get an idea of the weight

Hey I dont mind who turns up to come for a ride. I thought we could just go for a short ride up to Helensville and back, no pressure. I have found that the speed limit to some is 10klms faster than the speed limit signs and I often get left behind. I am also slow on the corners but getting better. Lol!!!

that is a baseless assumption espoused by the authors of the illustrious road code. what about all the harley riders who happily cruise around on 300kg+ bikes? personally, as a 45kg rider i find that almost everything i want to ride is more than 3 times my weight. i just ride what i want to ride.
