Youre not far off from guessing the time as well as the breaks....... will probably stop once for fuel / bite, usually in Te Kuiti (good truck stop there with hot tucker)
    Sounds good to me. Cheers

Whats speed got to do with it? I didn't mean race around treating the road like a race track... I meant hauling a bunch of bikers keen on not riding, through hundreds of km of beautiful countryside instead (and none of them 50km between stops either)! Now, if I can find a handy gravel road in the middle of nowhere, it will be an unforgettable adventure

There's the spur off the Paraparas that goes through Jerusalem that's meant to be quite good if you want gravelly bits

You should know better that our rides are REAL rides and not just an excuse to drink piss! You should be happy if the weather-gods play fair - we have been trying to do the Forgotten Highway for the last 3 years now!

The ride around Hawkes Bay was Sublime. A truly memorable day.
Having a personal two bike guide for the first part of it was rather special.

When he accompanied/harassed us on the ride to the Cape last year I recorded a 16.8% increase in fuel consumption above average.
Wouldn't want that to happen again.

....ouch honey, I feel as though that's a double left jab in my direction.
Each for their own I suppose. Oh well, we'll see on the day eh?

Just a thought though. it might be an idea to change the colour of the register link, it's not that easy to tell it's a link as you read.

Anyone heading down later Friday afternoon? The mrs and I will be leaving about 3 on Friday afternoon. We might leave a little earlier if she can get away from work earlier.
