Hey LMB, how was today with the boy? I read you have a plan for the weekend. Hope that works in your favour and the weather comes to the party.

Men are frustrating creatures but you just gotta luv them...let the love flow and the smile will appear on your face. Your son is so close to becoming a man yet, he's not quite there, it's hard for both of you. You will weather this storm. He will become the 'man', in his time and you will once again have your son.

Happy Easter...Top Gear is on, those men are so funny!

Its nice to know there are others out there who have the compassion to listen to me moan and then offer advise.

I refused to make his lunch for him this morning and wouldnt give him gas money , he's not a happy camper.
I phoned his old man last night, and for once he is gonna try to help. Im not holding my breath though.
My plan is to go away on my bike for easter & leave him here to fend for himself, maybe some time alone will give him (& me) time to think.

    Thanks again
Hmmmm. Not a bad plan. Mum's get the ride and some time out and the young fella gets time to have a wee think about who is head of the ship round your place. Enjoy ya weekend. Just home from 4 weeks in the South Island so won't be riding anywhere my self this weekend. Bit jealous to be fair.

It's the abuse that does the damage. I have, in the past, used various recreational substances and had absolutely no problems, neither did my friends and as you can see from my posts, no side effects whatsoever... If you educate your children from first hand experience and don't, just read the pamphlet, than you'll know yourself what's good, what's bad and what can make it bad.

e.g. Charlie: superb drug, bit expensive (or at least it used to be), and short lived in comparison to others... BUT... abuse it for long enough, say 5 - 6 months (potentially sooner) and you will end up like a friend of mine's brother... threatening to kill his family... It can go terribly wrong.

I rate alcohol as a worse drug than maryjoanna by far... I know several people on pills because of their alcohol use. And over all of my years I have never met anyone that has suffered any ill effects from MJ. I'm not saying it doesn't happen... I just haven't met any...

EDUCATION... I kind of advocate gettin kids getting a practical education when it comes to some drugs... either Police, School or Parent led, I don't care... some are gonna do it anyway...

Bonnie, if he fucks up over the weekend he's got noone else to blame but himself. Enjoy.

uhm... is there any risk that he'll use this vacancy to organize a party for all the city in your house?
EDIT: whops.... seems that Usarka had the same fear...

(PS: i'm pretty proud of you all guys. you're the evidence that mental sanity isn't completely gone from all the planet. here a parent reaction would have been to buy the "poor guy" a new car with full of petrol, so he'd not to feel ashamed with his friends of the bad life he have... i'm vomiting.... )

Don't envy you one bit.Although I will say I never felt the need to tell mum to fuck off, otherwise I think both her and dad would've knocked my block off(and they were 5'2 and 5'6 and smaller than me just lol).Suppose it is knowing the boundaries which my bro and I figured out and kept to the edge of not stepping over the line. And having similar group of mates with parents with similar ideals.

Can remember when at intermediate and walking home,a friend of parents(and mates parents)heard several of us swearing, rang the parents of all of us who swore,my brother and I had to ring and appologise to the lady for swearing, very humbling but next day at mates place the parents said very proud you two apologised and no hard feelings, then they said another guy apologised but our neighbour hadn't,and as they said his parents swore like troupers so didn't expect a call.

The old it's my place blah, blah won't work unless you do as you say,but hasty words can haunt you in anger.
