how have i NOT seen this??

as a movie.... actually not bad.
    comedic, tits. win.
Oh common Akzle - other than some visual delights the movie was utter crap. Shit I was even embarrassed when Demi was doing her stripping acts, and slightly aroused. It is not great to be male? Even when watching something that you are cringing over you can still get a active twitch or two in the loins.

I cant remember anything much about the movie, well apart from the bits that stirred the loins, I always knew which bits of the movie were the culprit because the missus kept giving me sideways glances, even though we had been together for 22 years when it first screened.

Not a movie, a very short (6 episodes) TV series.

    The Night Manager.

Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, Elizabeth Debicki. It's an adaptation of a John le Carre novel, concerning an attempt to infiltrate the inner circle of top-flight illegal arms dealer. It's le Carre, so it's lean, tight, sophisticated, and clever as hell instead of relying on stunts and shootouts.

The production's gorgeous. Props, locations, costuming, cinematography are all top shelf. So is the acting. That isn't just the three main players, the support cast do their job throughout too. The direction is mostly invisible (as it should be) aside from over-using a technique of a character walking into focus in a frame.

Basically this is spy thriller and drama combined, at these things it's about as good as it gets. It isn't popcorn fun, laughs, bewbs, chases etc not really applicable.

    It's damn good but it wouldn't be to everyone's taste. 8.5 / 10.

Finding Dory. Pretty movie. Finding Nemo was much betterer though. Loses a point as it didn't inspire the kids either: 5.5/10

The Black Mirror episodes, each one with a different plot and themes on growing reliance and connection with IT. My favourite is probably the Waldo, pretty much the equivalent of Donald Trump.

Agree 100% It was bloody good. We need a companion thread about good TV (it happens from time to time)
Other good TV -" The Wire" - five seasons worth.
"Carnivale" - not completely understood by its makers, HBO, and killed off after two seasons.
"Firefly" and its follow up movie "Serenity"
"Deadwood" - again killed off early by HBO (so they could finance "Rome", which was not so great.

With TV you need either the box set or download, as the constant ad breaks on broadcast TV completely destroy continuity
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
