Liquid sunshine gauge? I like. I gave up hope of outdoorsy things when the cat went past the kitchen on my boogie board.

I didn't! Funny thing is, the dog went past first, with a leash in her mouth, full pelt. Then the cat came past on the wake. Epic rain. LOL.

    gone baby gone.

drama eh. no great intrigue, very well delivered characters. plays on a few emotional triggers which I find cheap. very well delivered characters. unfortunately has pissed camera guy effect, but it's not constant, and it's few-beers, not outright fuck-drunk. has drugs and guns but doesn't make a big deal of it.
    well cut, too.

    8.5/10

    Star Trek Beyond

Loved it. Great balance of humour, action and suspense. The whole modern franchise is great. 8/10

    no. on the whole.
felt a lot like a highschool art project - a shitty rebellious teenager pouting that they can film drugs and sex and what are you going to do about it?
poor audio mastering (and approximately 4 dialogue) leads to handy-cam vibe (which reinforces the highschool feel) i can't even imagine the fucken project description where this could be graded anything above D.
and fuck. pointless painfully slow-pans, fade to/from blacks. it's like they couldn't even afford a fucking macbook.

maybe a bit of spank material if you were fawning over browning, but again, just feels like nudity for the sake of it, and the rest of the hoes are even more unattractive, and the least ho-like hoes i've seen. i mean, bless em for hanging their tits out, but if i'd paid $600/hr to see em i'd be fucken pissed.

everyone looks and sounds bored. and there doesn't seem to be any focus or differentiation between main characters and background ones. or furniture and props, for that matter. it's all just fucking lacklustre and at this point i wouldn't care if they all caught fire.

i don't know what the fuck kind of modern photocopier doesn't have a 'collate' function... maybe it's just that the only other employee happens to be a woman too, and doesn't know how to print for shit.
and white strayan madame using a tea whisk? fucken wot?

and emily's bear hands mauling both decanter and balloon of brandy. and playing at pouring wine like a cunting sommelier! git tae fuck indeed!
although... what she can take in her mouth/throat without choking does give rise (pun intended) to some.... well.. penis.

almost binned it at 00:50. kinda wish i had.

    2.5/10

    The Magnificent 7.

Ohh boy why didn't I listen to the reviews... what a waste of an evening. 2 hours 20 minutes of Hollywood getting it wrong.

Not completely, mind. It looks pretty. Great star power. Unfortunately (once again) they've cut characterisation and storyline back to the bone in order to throw in quick action thrills. Lots of quick action thrills. Like, an hour or so's worth of them in the final battle.

Obvious technical errors - smokeless powder, in 1865? Hand cranked Gatling gun capable of grouping inside a meter, at a half mile distance? Sets that frankly look like sets rather than lived in towns? One handed revolver shots on horseback that hit targets forty meters away? Total lack of livestock and crops, in a farming town? Forgettably psychopathic villain? - anyway, this isn't where the film is screwed. Even the one line cardboard characterisations are forgiveable.

The film's big fuckup is the main characters lack of fear or awareness. Everyone in the first 7 (way back with Yul Brynner) was clearly aware that they walked a very fine line between today's living legend and tomorrow's forgotten dead. They were tough men living a hard life and they knew the score. It showed. It doesn't show here. Denzel does his thing, Chris Pratt shows a nice turn as a cocksure gunslinger, but that's about it.

95 million to shoot, apparently. What a waste of what could have been.

4 / 10. Save your time and go get 3:10 To Yuma (yes, the remake with Bale and Crowe), hell even the first twenty minutes of Cowboys And Aliens were better.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, 5/10: Take too long to get going and kinda fizzles out in a predictable way. It got 1 point for Eva Green, mmmmmmm.

The makeup she wears in the move accentuates her eye size. Kinda creepy in ways, yet kinda works in others

    scary movie quadrilogy

16 years on... still funny. 1 & 2 were good, 3 was orright, 4 was pretty crap. maybe it's just that i'd binged on it. but meh.

    1: 9/10
    2: 9/10
    3: 7.5/10
    4: 5/10

would recommend the first two to anyone who chuckles at low brow shit. but they're actually also produced quite well.

Watched *The Girl On The Train* tonight.

Better than RT scored it. 7/10. Worth the money.
