This film ejk reviews doesn't appeal
Yes I enjoyed the School of Rock, Envy and other films with Jack Black but this one is an unusual exception.

I went to see it with a friend of mine today and the cinema was filled with nothing but air. It felit like I privately hired the venue for just me and her.
Oh btw, she chose the movie

    Virus (1999)

A Sci-Fi film with an interesting story. Normally I don't comment on acting because they are all OK to me (unless they are exceptionally good). But in this film, acting is noticeably bad. I mean, really bad. Intriguing story tho.

Some films tend to feel like a hearty breakfast or maybe an Italian dinner, but this is just what it is; a bag of chips.

    3.5/10

On a personal note: I think I enjoyed it more when I was young.

    Invictus (2009)

    Three things may suprise you:
*If you are not a big rugby fan, you'll see rugby differently after the movie.
*If you are a big rugby fan, you will not wait for the 2011 Rugby World cup.
*...and at the end, you will be gob smacked to find that Clint Eastwood was the director and the producer of the film.

9/10 (in my opinion anyways). A very good movie.

    Saw it again.

Clint Eastwood has captured the intensity of the games freshly. If Schindler's List (1993) is 'Righteousness' and The King's Speech (2010) is 'Listening', then Invictus (2009) is 'Leadership'. Invictus gets plenty of inspirational points. Didn't disappoint watching it second time round. I highly recommend this film.

Yes, Morgan Freeman was born to play Nelson Mandela.

The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler (2009)

A picture perfect, war drama of a true story. This is a story of a Polish nurse who smuggled approximately 2,500 Jewish children to safety in World War II. This film is Schindler's List of a woman. The music itself is awe-inspiring (deserves half the points). A brilliant film. Inspirational and is something to influence on.

Recommended for those women who are passionate about righteousness, kindness and courage. It deserves a watch.

    Be Cool (2005)

A huge all-star cast film including John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Vince Vaughn, André Benjamin (from Outkast), Dwayne Johnson a.k.a The Rock, Christina Milian and many cameo appearances including Aerosmith band, Black Eyed Peas, and some others.
Thanks to ice cool performance by John Travolta and the music, it just missed out on being White Elephant. Not bad actually.

Packed with bass & treble but a lil less decibel (almost rhymed!).

    Michael Clayton (2007)

Critics say it's really good but I can't see that. It's not I don't like it, it's just I can't get my head around it.
But what's for sure, Clooney's acting is.... just powerful. Bar none.

It's like reading a real big, thick, best seller novel. And belive me, I'm not much of a reader.

    Rating N/A

    Kiss of the Dragon (2001)

A total ass kicking Jet Li entertainment. Produced by Luc Besson, this is another "do-more, think-less" type film. Feeling stressed out at work? Got nothing on TV this evening? Need an exciting entertainment to go with that takeaway food? Well, look no further, this is it. Worth the watch for any action seekers.

Only two scenes required CGI, and only one with wire work. So, what you see is what you get. Literally.

    True Grit (2010)

Saw this movie last nite, an I must say I really enjoyed it! very good acting, plot, set/costumes etc. Good amounts of humour and action. The ending was weird and unnecessary.

    Thumbs up

Watched a great doco called Catfish last night. I had no idea what it was about (not catfish by the way). Don't look it up on IMDB, just rent it or DL it. It was amazing. Loved it. 9.5/10

    Reign of Fire (2002)

Just an action adventure film. Another good afternoon entertainment. That's about it really. Nothing too special about this film.

Just lots of fire, burnt ash, dragons and guns.

    Matchstick Men (2003)

Matchstick Men is effectively amusing, silky smooth yet suprising. Nicolas Cage did one tough acting, yet executed flexibly. This is another heck of a film by Ridley Scott. Man, I love him.

It's all fun and games till it bites your head off.
