You were right, it takes some time to jump on the Nolan-train. Also you were right, I couldn't hear 60% what Bane said due to his mask (40% for the Batman). Next time I will need subtitles.

Overall it is a very good movie. Indubitably Christopher Nolan (and his brother).

    8.75/10

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Does that mean the lesson is to wait for the DVD so you can get the subtitles? After all it is only 2D

    What's a DVD?

Haha jokes. Yes I will have to watch it again with a subtitle, as I'd recommend to anybody. Seriously.

The Amazing Spiderman: another movie that was slow to get going, the only difference with this one was it really didn't get going... it plodded along for what seemed like 3 hours re-telling, albeit with a slightly different bent, the story of how he was bitten and how Uncle Ben bit the bullet... after that was another 5 or 6 hours of padding in between Spiderman doing not much. There were a few giggles, but on the whole I was disappointed... t'was a bit like watching a mini series in 5 minute bites. Anyhoo, 6/10.

An interesting true story. Spike Lee has not stuck to the book and in places there are massive holes in the story.
Buffalo Soldiers (black troops) are involved in the Italian campaign and a section get themselves lost behind enemy lines. They link up with Italian villagers after finding a young boy on the battlefield.
The start and end of the movie is based in the 1980's, for quite relevant reasons...

Not as good as expected and at 3hrs long, waaaaaay too long for what it is.

Saw The Dark Knight Rises last night. Best Batman movie ever IMO and glad I went. It took a while to put everything happening in the start together & I was wondering if I had missed a film in the series (turns out I hadn't - it's just been 4 years). 8.5/10.

I noticed we're in for a new Superman movie next year and just saw on the net that Mad Max 4 is underway in Oz currently, fooking bring that on!

All the usual good stuff we have come to know and like with this genre of films.
Scrat manages to get to "Scratlantis" of acorns... and Diego finds a hot chick.

Really liked the Maggie Simpson short film before the main feature.

    6:10.
Maggie was the highlight of the movie for me... scrat's visit to the centre of the earth being a close second and finally the film... not up to the standard of the other 3 although not really sure what it was missing, too many characters perhaps... and I've seen better disaster movies.

    Agreed with the 6/10 given.

I'd give it a 7.5, bane had nothing on the joker, and it just showed how it is the villain's role to make a good batman movie great.
