Daniel Craig would be ok too, but possibly has clauses in his Bond contract. Looks more like Reacher than the others.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

Nah, he's getting down into the too vertically challenged category.

It's not that hard really, even close to home you'd have: Russell Crowe (just, at 6ft) or Hugh Jackman. Further afield: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the perfect physical specimen.

They would be my picks from that list as well.
Someone else who's not on that list would be Daniel Cudmore. He played Colussus in the X-Men movies(X2 & X-Men The Last Stand) and he played Master Chief in HALO Forward Unto Dawn.

Trouble is no-one's heard of 'em. if I saw those names as the "star" of a movie I'd be thinking "it's straight to DVD for you". That's why Cruise and co get paid the obscene amounts they do, the movie has instant credibility/attraction for a lot of the general public. It's not called "star power" for nothing.

I don't really agree with that. I've seen heaps of great movies with a cast of near nobody's. I like going into a film with no expectations. For example Watchmen blew me away, a film with actors I'd never really heard of. I like Tom Cruise but I can already predict what his character is going to be like and how he is going to portray it.

Wreck It Ralph - 6.0/10... nothing to write home about. The odd giggle when they do the Doody gags, but much of a meh for me and eldest daughter.

Apparently Lee Child has a mental picture of UK rugby star Lawrence Dallaglio as Reacher:http://www.radiotimes.com/blog/2011-...ence-dallaglio

    Thumbs up Life Of Pi

Very thought provoking movie with a serious twist in the tail. The reviews on IMDb do a far better job than I can and as stated there, the movie doesn't require 3D to be a stunner.

Expect this movie to feature in the next Oscars!

    Rise of the Guardians.

Actually better than I expected, going in not having a clue what it was going to be like!

A good story of "believed" characters (easter bunny, father Christmas, tooth fairy, etc) and those we knew about but didn't believe in (the boogey-man, Jack Frost)

Interestingly interwoven storyline and the kids enjoyed it.
    7:10.

I never realised the Easter Bunny was an Australian...

Jack Reacher: 8.5/10. A well put together movie and I was pleasantly surprised to see TC using different facial muscles to convey the character. The story cruises (hee hee) along nicely and the predictability of what is coming next is hung together with enough reasoned dialogue to make the predictability acceptable. There was one bit that alludes to his size, but if you didn't know (you fuckin spoilers know who yar) you'd be scratching your head over the conversation. Either way, a highly enjoyable movie. Mumsy, as an avid fan of the books, was happy enough with the movie too.

We also got talkin to a guy, originally from the UK, that lived 1 mile down the road from me as a kid, not that I knew him then... small world... then found out that his kids are friends of friends and lived 7 doors down from us a few years ago, farking small world.

    Django Unchained.
Loved it. A mix of gore and amusement in true Tarantino style with enjoyable performances from Jamie Foxx and Samuel L Jackson.
