Yes we do. I think someone spiked your drink that day.

Have you watched 'Killer Joe'? If not...do so.

Oh yeah, I really liked Killer Joe. McConaghey does badass very well. I liked the chick who played Dolly too. (too lazy to imdb it).

You might enjoy RAMPART too, if you haven't seen it. Not so much the gore and vilence, more a character study of crooked cop spiralling downhill. Woody Harrelson is great in it (though my favourite role of his is either in KINGPIN or ZOMBIELAND).

    in no particular order:

body of lies - pretty good once around. i <3 dicaprio.

eagle eye - concept great, execution quite good. plan on it.

    the sniper - (it's old)

    suddenly - (it's also old)

    all of the resident evils

the crow - cool shootouts plus awesome soundtrack

smoking aces - oldie but a goodie. i like .50 cals.

    salt - angie juju.

mr and mrs smith - light way to pass the time plus angie juju

se7en, - made ya think, dinnit.

from hell - too drunk, but pretty sure it was good

    doom - cool movie

inglorious bastards - (it's old) (new one is senseless violence, only watched < 20mins of it) wartime, but good story. french?

russian ark - execution probably more memorable than movie. - one take (and it's a LONG movie)

the beach - book was better than movie, but a goodun anyway

    equilibrium - plan on it.

fifth element - bruce willis and hot chick.

that one with chuck norris and bruce lee in the coloseum *picks up phone "tha's right AAMER EE CAAA!" (chuck looses )

psych out - that guy, when he was younger. a movie to smoke joints and reminisce to and not give a fuck about.

reefer madness - propaganda, hilarious propaganda

who framed roger rabbit - just. do it.

    almost famous

    ferris buellers day off

    all of the mad maxs

black coffee and cigarettes - you need a joint or ten for this. it's long and pointless. but has a tesla coil.

the bourne trilogy - despite matt daaaamaaaaannnnnnn, good movies.

tomorrow when the war began - the accents don't even annoy that much. (another "plan on it")

there's one with keenu reeves exorcising people, which has it's moments ("move the car", "i love our little talks, john")

the cell - epicness before epicness was common. plus starring jiggly butt.

time travellers wife - got me going. and i <3 banner.

some of the earlier gojira (godzilla) were good. not worth a marathon though. or. maybe... (vs megalodon, i think, obviously puppets and destroying model bridges with gas. it was cool. okay.)

silent hill - not much to do with the game, except the mist. three? alternate endings, all of which epicly gruesome. movie came and went too quietly probably didn't get the attention it shoulda.

    the breakfast club

sleeping dogs - kiwi flick about military policing in NZ.

    kiss kiss bang bang

pirates 1& maybe 2, they were just milking shit by 3.

taken 1 & 2, one probably moreso for originality.

    predadator, all of

    AvP

all the old disneys, particularly alice in wonderland and fantasia, but also beauty and the beast etc

the men who stare at goats - i do not <3 clooney, but it's a semi-comic movie. i'm not sure it had a point.

the blondini gang one - nz film...

the boondock saints is probably the best movie ever.

incendies - french-arab, tells a good story, if there was a point i've forgotten it. mum got raped and uncle dad turns out to be his brother, or something.

old one about giant squid taking down a cruise liner

    awaiting anna karenina

Technically not a movie, but the series Banshee gets a solid 8 so far. Up there with Breaking Bad imo.

I love Woody, one of my favourite under-rated actors. I chuckled greatly watching Friends with Benefits at his character (and particularly in the blooper reel, funny shit!)

A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD

Does exactly what you think it will do. Pays homage to lots of earlier DIE HARD films. Fantastic car chase sequence through Moscow. Or virtual Moscow. Gaping plot holes and ignoring of science. A LOT of shit gets blown up.

I liked it a lot. SWMBO hated it. Boys night 9/10. Date night 2/10.

It was suggested that this movie would be a better alternative to the valentine's day crap.

    Hysteria.
Set in Victorian times and regarding the invention of the vibrator to cure female hysteria. Apparently a (romantic)"comedy" but rather lacking in the laughs department.
Medical practitioners of the day tried to manage hysteria by massaging the genital area, decently covered under a curtain, to elicit "paroxysmal convulsions", without recognizing that they were inducing orgasms.
    4 1/2:10.

The house at the end of the street.
A basically predictable plot with a twist added in.
    5:10.

Watched a strange movie called Ong Bak awhile ago. If your into martial arts / revenge movies this is an eye opener.

Watched most of Kenny t'other night. Aussie toilet cleaner biopic. Some great lines but could not have been riveting. "there is a smell in here which will outlast religion". Heh..

Death Proof. Can't believe I'd never seen it before! Funny shit. If you liked the Kill Bill movies you'll like this. Special mention to Kiwi Zoe Bell, bloody hilarious.

It's weird, as I thought I was gonna love it...but I didn't click with it at all. She's definately worth a squirt though!

Ditto, I much preferred Planet Terror.

Factoid: the kid is Robert Rodriguez's son. At the time he said he was going to show him a "special edit" version until he was old enough (if you've seen it you'll know what i mean )
