Grindhouse was what they called the two movies together (they were shown as a double feature in the US), wasn't it? Please tell me I'm wrong though I'd love if there was another one.

Imdb thinks it is a title. I have seen the two parts for sale individually with their own titles though. Kurt Russell and Zoe Bell notwithstanding, i enjoyed PLANET TERROR more than DEATH PROOF

Seems like the imdb page is for the combination of the 2 movies together -

Pity, I'd like to see more similar movies, I preferred Death Proof, I want his cars, where they chase him at the end its quite good. Also Tarantino movies always have the best soundtrack.

SCARY MOVIE 5: Don't bother unless you can get in for free as I could. Franchise was onceuponatime funny but has been done to death by now. I did laugh a handful of times but it wasn't that good. Maybe a 5/10

IRONMAN 3: OMG, one of the best films I have seen recently. Special effects and storyline were wonderful and not at all boring or predictable. Don't know if this or Ironman 1 was better. 8.5/10

    THE COMPANY YOU KEEP.

This was AWFUL. Billed and sold as a sort of conspiracy/thriller. Reasonably engrossing storyline in places. some nice locations in the US. GREAT cast, particularly in the minor roles. Sam Elliott is always good, Brendan Gleeson, the young chick who played the daughter.

    spoiler alert:

The problem with this is that even if you suspend your disbelief as well as your critical faculties entirely there are still two problems: the timing. they keep referring to "thirty years ago" which brings the setting up to late 1990's at the latest but the film appears to be set in the presnt day. That makes the protagonists who are supposed to be int heir 60's well into their 70's. And the daughter at the centre of the film instead of being in her late 20's perhaps 30 as she is supposed to be in the film, actually in her 40's. It just doesnt work and it is so glaring that it pissed me right off.

the other issue i have is one of the characters does something SO out of character that it ruined the whole ending for me. We are asked to believe throughout the film that this person was ultra committed to "the cause" and had stayed underground for "thirty" years and then at the end she meekly surrenders after a night of wrinkly boinking (thankfully inferred not seen) from Robert Redford? Puh leese.

    2.5/10. Dont bother.

Ironman 3. I must be the only person who thought this was a stupid dud. Ironman 1 was fantastic, IM 2 was quite good. These are fantasy films I know, asking us to put aside known realities and stretch our imagination a bit for the sack of entertainment. A man builds an iron suit that flies. Ok I'll go along with that for fun, it's even close to real. Avengers; aliens invade. Well if you open your mind to life on other planets that's an acceptable plot. I love science fiction but lets face it, it has to be loosely based on a plausible concept.

I know it's hard dreaming up a plausible villain. The emphasis is on the word plausible though.

BUT, a scientist injects you and within seconds your DNA allow you to regrow amputated limbs, increase you cellular temperature to, what was it? 3000 degrees (F or C it doesn't really matter it's so ridiculous beyond any stretch). The bad guys super hot arm sliced through the Ironman robots armour cutting off metal legs and arms like a Samuri sword through wet pre-damaged tissue paper - oh please!

Then there was his suit parts that split up and individually, without any known means of aerodynamics or aviation propulsion or steering, somehow in a few minutes fly themselves from a Midwest/northern state (Ohio, Omaha? or something) to Tony Stark who was in Florida!

Enough, I was close to walking out for having my intelligence insulted so much.

Ironman as a superhero gets my 10 out of ten vote. IM3 gets a 5 and that's only because I love the whole franchise; Thor, Hulk, Captain A and Ironman.

Please write a plot next time before filming the actors.

So you're not a Hulk fan then? Or any of the Alien movies? Or Captain America?

Surprisingly awful for me. Just didn't buy the relationships between the 2.0 versions of the old characters, too cartoony. And the bit at the end between Carol Marcus and her mad admiral father...excruciating. Liked Cumber-bund though, although Khan without the Spanish (Mexican?) accent and the pigtail (or was it a mullet?), just not the same.

Disappointed 'cos I liked the first reboot. But I really missed the old characters this time, sigh, despite the fleeting glimpse of old Spock. The world has moved on, I guess.
