WWI - brutal and suspenseful. Not an action flick, but not for the faint hearted. 8/10

    Keep on chooglin'

Two words. Fucking AWESOME! And believe me, I'm no Sandra Bullock fan. In fact...normally I wouldn't watch anything with her as the star. But fair play to her...she is untterly fantastic in this...as is the whole film. One of the best I've seen in ages. Would happily go see it again tomorrow. Make sure you see it in 3D.

Sandy Bullock fan reporting. Also George Clooney fan. Yes, even Batman. Well maybe not Batman. I would have enjoyed this film even if it was shit.

But it is awesome. You will leave at the end (once the rollercoaster stops) going "How the HELL did they do that?" Totally worth the extra money for 3D. I am going to bail on work one afternoon this week and go again.

BTW Crasher: you seen THE BLIND SIDE? She won an Oscar for it, deservedly.

Here's your serious "date night" movie WHAT MAISIE KNEW.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1932767/?ref_=nv_sr_1

    bad title.

    great film.

basically a look at the utterly dysfunctional parents and their relationship breakdown but viewed entirely through the eyes of their daughter who is like 8 or something.

This is some compelling, brilliantly shot, superbly acted flim making right here.

Great cast too - Julieanne Moore (check out The Kills cover "Hook and Line") at one point, Steve Coogan, Alexander Skarsgard, and errr Scottish girl. The wee girl actress is AMAZING.

I totally had to be talked into going to this ("Fine, if you pay for the tickets") and I am really really glad I did.

Turns out the film is based on a Henry James novel that is a hundred years old (wiki that shit but after you've seen the film).

    9.75/10.

I did go see BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD and you're right it was excellent.

Actually, I think you'd enjoy MUD which was on the NZIFF: Set on the Mississippi river: Matthew McConaghey at his unhinged best, great story also.

Saw Rush yesterday, great movie awesome camera/special effects work and the sound of those mid 70s F1 cars was amazing.
After I got home I looked a few of the facts up and according to Niki Lauda it was very accurate too, even my date thought it was good.
I'll grade it a solid 9/10 the best car movie I have seen in a long time.

Pretty churr movie. Sandra Bullock is still hot as. If I was in that air lock alone with her, I would probably try touch her inapropriately.

    Pacific Rim
Pretty average story line I thought. Giant robots scrapping giant aliens. More brutality than a bare knuckle pikey fight.

    The Conjuring
Average as hell in my opinion. Scares had no affect on me, its all been seen before.

    Riddick
I liked it. You should watch it.

How to make money selling drugs
Awesome doco. Really eye opening. Watch this shit.

    Primer
Science fiction about a bunch of guys who create a amazing machine in there garage. You need intelect to watch this film, your standard fast adn the furious meathead wont have any chance of understanding it. I thought it was a good watch.

Watched heaps more over the last couple of weeks but nothing too memorable

I was willing Sandra Bullock to die by the end of it.
