Bloody good film actually. Best Aussie film I've seen in ages!

The Hobbit: Battle of the 4.05 armies

Can we Knight Sir Peter again? Really, this man is my hero. I love Tolkein and Sir Pete knows how to visualise the un-visualisable scenes Tolkein vaguely described at times in his writings. I mean the Balrog. Every reader had a different idea of what that demon must have looked like. Well Pete took the image straight from my mind. How'd he do that? Smaug, another masterpiece of Pete's imagination and creativity.

So back to the last of the last of his Tolkein interpretations. And that's all he could ever do, interpret his impressions from reading the awesome books to how to put images on a screen.

Well for me the last movie was a good one. I would have liked a bit more screen time for poor Smaug, but I guess it was time to move the story along.

As for calling a small flock of eagles arriving in time for the closing credits an army, well that's taking the piss, so it's the battle of 4.05 armies.

A highlight for me was the unexpected appearance of dear Billy Connelly. Considering his failing health his character fought like a horny teenager trying to unwrap his first condom.

I know Sir Pete has said he wont. BUT PLEASE PLEASE DO THE SILMARILLION

    altered.

nau. a good aliem movie is hard to come by. but on a scale of signs-to-ten, this one is ... well, better than signs, anyway.

lots of plot holes, not nearly enough bullets used,
    some good, some bad.

Crave. Interesting seeing Ron Perlman (Clay - Sons of anarchy) play role of cop.

Interesting film but plays out a bit different to what you expect after the trailer.

    +1

Smaug was awasome but I was left wanting with his screen time.

Legolas' gravity defiance in one scene was a bit gehy.

    A Belfast Story.

Pretty good but not quite as good as the trailer makes it out. If you like the brit crime/drama stuff you'll like it, has that cool Irish actor from "The Van" and "Snapper"....

    Captain Phillips

Was sick of Tom Hanks ages ago but this film is awesome, highly recommended, based on true story.

    In the Blood.

Absolute shite except for when Gina Carano is on screen and to ne honest she's a better real life MMA fighter than she is an actor but does ok.
Danny Trejo makes only a couple of token short appearances...

    The Interview

Typical Seth Rogan humour but given a massive publicity boost by North Korea and the world's media. Worth a watch just to see what all the fuss is about. 7/10
