You're the only person I've heard of that did like it!

One of the worst films I've ever seen.

It wasn't horrible but it wasn't good either. It was just Limitless with a female lead.

Aye, Limitless is another great movie... and whilst I see the similarities, for me there's a chasm of difference between the two films.

The Cumber should get an Oscar nom (at least) for this. Even Keira Knightley didnt annoy me as she often does. Mark Strong is excellent as always as is Charles Dance.

Its not like that at all, and from what I can recall from the books I have read about this stuff (Simon Singhs "The Code Book" and in a fictionalised context Neal Stephensons "Cryptonomicon") they way they actually did it was handled very well.

I liked this a lot, I also think that they way they handle the way that Turing was vilified and driven to suicide for being gay was well done.... not the focus of the story but a not so subtle plot point.

    Highly recommended. 9/10
Exited the theatre a short while ago.
What a bloody great movie! Very well played (no americans, car chases or shoot-out's) and turned a complex subject into an enthralling watch.
    Totally agree with a 9:10!

Because it is about cryptography, and code breaking, which are very difficult subjects indeed, and harder still to portray on screen (what, there's two hours of a dude staring at a pad and occasionally writing on it, or looking out the window and thinking? How will that play in Peoria or Porirua?)

    +1
Excellent portrayal by BC of a historical figure who should have been recognised for more than he was. Although this is essentially a dramatised doco it kept our attention without exception.

Turing's suspected aspergers is also skillfully included in BC's character.

    Agreed 9/10

American Sniper - pretty much just tells the story of Chris Kyle from his POV. Doesn't make any statement pro or con with regards to Iraq war. Fairly intense battle scenes. 7/10

it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Utter crap. Might have been better if I could watch it but I keep finding better things to do including post on KB and look at trademe.

Wife thought it was good and well acted and creepy enough for a horror movie.

Now im not even sure we were watching the same movie 3/10.
I have evolved as a KB member. Now nothing I say should be taken seriously.
