i thought more about this, and i now have, surprise surprise, more words.
the movie itself is propaganda:
on the one hand we have "boohoo we're all sad and kiling people like actual boots on the ground" - to garner the sympathy of the public?
on the other it's all like "terrorism is bad hmkay, you're "saving american lives" (actual quote)"
on the whole, I cant see a purpose for this movie that doesn't benefit the JSA govt.
anyway. enter conspiracy ax.
nauu. i'm young enough to know some shit. for the elders attending: the jewnited states government has released a video game (quite some time ago) to find suitable candidates for military operations
scary? fucken wut.
that knowledge in conjunction with aforesaid movie, makes for a scary future of warfare.
which is what the "military industrial complex" is all about! (the future of warfare)
-they're looking for the next generation of soldiers, and finding them, likely, playing fuken video games
now this can be developed in several ways - the US feed actual intelligence into the game and see what the gamers do, or, eventually (if not already) stream live fucken feeds from the battleground through some computery shit to appear as pixels in front of kids for them to blast away at.
the extension of this runs two ways: one, the existing technology (drones) is perpetuated, extended, we have like, war-robot guys killing arabs or terrorists or drug cartels or whoever the fucken bad guy is this generation.
second: mech suits (a la crysis, or that entirely forgettable new ish tom cruise movie)
to be controlled by teh gamers. to be piloted by convicts or other politcal undesirables.
oh what a bright future i look forward to.
